He comments a couple of times that he works in one-hour stretches, with no music, no podcast, in total silence, as he needs to be utterly attentive to what he's doing.
I'm finding these long form semi-realtime technical type videos really pleasant lately. I leave them on while sewing hems or other repetitive, non-analytical work.
