Alabama update

Hi Everybody,

Nadav Spiegelman and I are a little more than halfway through a 2-week writing sabbatical, working on a book, staying in Daniel Ingram's straw bale guesthouse at Hurricane Ranch. Making good progress with the book. From time to time we get to hang out with Daniel and listen to music, watch a movie, or talk dharma, but for the most part we're staying busy with the writing project. It's rained here for about three days straight; no sense going outside, so there's no excuse but to hunker down and write!

[2nd the notion] that you (Kenneth) are formalizing your writings. I find them quite accessible and I think they will be of much benefit to many. Congrats on conditions finally coming together to create something like this. Looking forward to the result.

Kenneth, I am eagerly awaiting your book. What slant is it going to take?

At one time Daniel was going to update/put out a second volume to his book and have people on his list write parts of it. What became of it?

I'm really excited about Ken's book as well. Can't wait to hear more about it!

Regarding Dan's revision, it is still in the works and is going to happen. From what I understand, Dan is working a crazy amount at the hospital, in part, to pay off all that student loan debt, etc., but he will be getting a new job relatively soon-ish, in part, so that he can devote more time to stuff like writing to revision. Also, he posts stuff from time to time on the DHO which will probably end up in the book. Here is what he wrote:

"I am quitting my current job and taking one that will give me better boundaries on my time and more time for things like the DhO, hopefully that transition will happen late March or so if all goes well, depending on how long it takes to get a Mississippi medical license, which apparently is a really long time."

I am excited to think that practical, useful teachings might be beginning to make their way into the mainstream! Less mystery, less ignorance, more progress, less suffering. Beautiful.
