I am thinking it would be nice to have a short list of favourite Buddhist web sites, presented as a "blog roll" in the sidebar for quick reference. But I am not sure such a short list exists. In reading the "BATGAP" thread, for example, I discovered...BATGAP. Buddhist at the Gas Pump. Cool name. Anyhow, if you would like to post your own personal reading list here, maybe we can come to a reasonable subset of places to look to expand our own personal horizons a bit.

If it can be broader than just Buddhism, I'd say the following are ones I have referred to as useful resources for awakening, ranging across several traditions:
www.beingordinary.org/
happiness-beyond-thought.com/
karengifford.org/
www.theveil.net/
www.spiritualityandpractice.com/teachers/index.php
www.hokai.info/blog/
www.adyashanti.org/index.php?file=teachings
religioperennis.org/
Some others I used to read regularly are now defunct, which is too bad.

Joe, I notice I have the same symbol besides my name as you do. I didn't swipe it. Somehow it appeared. Mystery. If you don't mind, I will keep it.

The enso is the default avatar on this site, if you do not upload your own.

For many years i have used this as the start page in at least one of my browsers:
www.dailyzen.com/
It features a daily updated short quote on an unobtrusive page layout,
and also has interesting monthly selections of longer texts via the Zen Journal link.
Enjoy!
