Which, given the trends these days, I was baffled by. Like, why make all that effort to get rid of the hair and then wear a wig? Then I read about the history of it, replete with lice and so on, and it made more sense.

Barry Lyndon was fucking great! What's not to like? You've got epic familial drama, enough dharma to last a week, and every single shot in that movie is utterly beautiful.
