This is part 1, parts 2 and 3 to come. Not much new. He talks about what he has found in his research to be the distinguishing characteristic between an enlightened and unenlightened person: a radical shift in the sense of self. He also mentions how this is accompanied by an extraordinary sense of well-being. I also thought it interesting that he says that he has found that belief systems tend to fall away as one progresses along his defined "continuum." Of course, these are other peoples' reports and not his own.

FWIW, I tend to be a little skeptical of Martin since he hasn't published his work and seems to over-represent his affiliation with Harvard.

I agree, Jake. It's hard for me to take seriously any research that has yet to be published and peer reviewed.
