I started doing this meditation this past Monday after attending a lecture on a famous German healer named Bruno Groening who died in 1959. Einstellen meditation is meant to effect healing throughout the body and many report incredible healings. I immediately feel the energy working when doing Einstellen. I find that it works well for removing energy blockages and muscle tension and addresses areas that my chakra meditation may not work on as effectively. It is a good supplement to my chakra meditation I believe. I thought others may benefit as well and wanted to share.
Einstellen meditation is very simple. You sit with your hands in your lap, palms upward. Neither your hands or arms are crossed and your hands should not be touching. You ask for diving healing energy and disconnect yourself from any illnesses you may have. Think of something pleasant and be aware of sensations in your body. Groening recommended playing relaxing music too. Do it two times a day for as long as you'd like. Seems the instructor at the lecture said from 5-15 min although he did not put a strict limit in either direction.

Do I recall (vaguely) that you have a business as an energy worker or healer? If I do recall correctly, do you find that you tend to suggest different types of practices depending on what they can handle? For example, it strikes me that the Groening practice would be well suited to people who don't have skills to do complex visualizations or concentration; it requires only a simple sort of spiritual belief. It is likely as effective as anything because it encourages pleasant thoughts and a gentle meditative state and offers an encouragement to trust the process (testimonies of Groening's healing ability). Not terribly different from praying to a saint (except Groening's method doesn't use verbal cues or other ritual).
I am not intending that as any kind of dismissal, because this kind of practice does work quite simply for many people, but I find some people do better with "more props" or "more ritual" because it helps keep them focused and generates more belief, while other people can use something very simple like this because they already tend to believe easily and don't have as strong a tendency to be distracted.

Yeah I think you are right Ona. I suggested this practice to a friend of mine because it is very simple and he is only beginning to become interested in spiritual practice. I figured it would be a good start and that he would be more likely to practice this rather than something more elaborate . Also, he is having trouble sleeping and thought this might provide some relief for him.
I do experience different sensations doing this practice in comparison to my chakra practice however. Parts of my body are worked more powerfully than they seem to me be in my regular meditation.
My business is on hiatus. I'm not quite sure how I feel about it yet. I am grateful to have a 9-5 to keep me afloat while I work out my feelings towards being an entrepreneur and whether that's the step I want to take.
