I have a pretty complex shorthand that I've designed over the last while. I am sort of interested in the idea of quickly writing a short poem in it and displaying it without any transcription. I don't know if this is an interesting zen calligraphy/mandala/practice object update, or just obnoxious obscurantism. I also need to figure out how to photograph it straight on without blocking my light.
Second draft. This zen fluidity shit is tough to get, especially with a sharpie.

I can do it with italic pen and ink. Obviously that's more of a european scribal feel than a eastern calligraphy feel. I've never tried with brush and ink. But I really ought to.

It looks really cool. Almost Arabic. If you want a laugh you could put that writing on some random pieces of plastic and dump them in the desert in Mew Mexico.

That's a fantastic idea! It's really not too far from my impulse with these post-it notes. For whatever reason I like the idea of writing them down, taking a picture, then destroying/giving away the notes themselves. Dunno why. I had a lot of caffeine today so I'm in a weird dervish state.

Totally cool! I like the idea of leaving them laying around randomly for people to stumble on and wonder about. Of course you don't want to get in trouble with any paranoids. But it should work fine in the east village or williamsburg.

I don't think it says "faker." I think it's more profane than that

I thought it said "Oh Lord bring me a curry, one that's not to thick, with red sauce and carrots and a bit of tofu. That would be rad and I'd be forever grateful. Amen."

There's a dhamma lesson somewhere in here. It says,
"This coursing, active thing
So much my good fortune to reach this birth
So much a silly, flukish thing
That I should be saddled with such queer company."
EDIT: For comparison's sake, here's the same thing in my normal style:

For full effect, I should transcribe the lyrics to 'Ken lee' into Devanagari.
