Ken McLeod: "An Arrow to the Heart" was created by Kate Gowen
"Because he is blind, he isn't confused by what others see.
Because he doesn't reach for what isn't there, he goes nowhere.
Because he knows how things are, he arrives on the other shore.
Where is the other shore?
For generosity, nothing to own.
For ethics, nothing to hide.
For patience, nothing to fear.
For effort, nothing to achieve.
For stable attention, nothing to wander.
For wisdom, nothing to know." [p. 12]
"No one can show you
What is true.
That's up to you.
All his yammering comes down to this:
Look, and look again,
Until you see nothing,
Inside or out.
Perhaps he's just another one of those people who shove The Truth in your face.
First it was an opening, then a memory, then an idea. Unnoticed, it became a belief and then an ideology. Now it is a casus belli, and you are ready to wreak havoc on all who disagree.*
The Truth is its own falsification.
What is true?
Find out what is not true, and let it go.
What is left?
...
* Faced with the choice of changing one's mind and proving there's no need to do so, almost everybody gets busy on the proof.
-- John Kenneth Galbraith [1906-2006] " [pp. 118, 119]
This may be too indirect and cryptic, but as the subject is the Heart Sutra, any worthy attempt would be likely to be oblique, paradoxical, and demanding of contemplation. Just discovered it this week and like it A LOT.

Oh, shout-out to Hokai, who brought this to my attention, via this discussion on David Chapman's blog:

[there's a great video at the end of the discussion, so far...]
