I came across this line on a thread on DhO and felt it needed to be shared here. It is a compilation of the best Shargrol posts on DhO:

As we all know, Shargrol has deeply thoughtful, insightful, and helpful commentary. I am going to try and do the same thing here, albeit using technology rather than hand curating. Stay tuned.

The user "Pepe" on DhO did all the work, it's really great that he did that.

The only "problem" I have with this is something I mentioned in the intro --- it's not really a "teaching" because it's so person specific, but I have a feeling it might be read dogmatically that way.

But I really am thankful to Pepe. I was struggling with how to write something that was closer to actual teaching, but kept struggling with how to do it. In some way, writing a teaching is an exercise in condescension: you assume that the reader has a particular confusion or blindness and then point it out... but if you do that for an entire book it ---feels to me --- like one lengthy condescension. :)  So he save my bacon from the fire by doing the compilation of past advice.

One day I'll figure out how to write this stuff up... or maybe not. :( :)   >shrug<

AwakeNetwork has a Magazine!

But seriously, I was saying to someone today that you have a clarity of description that is unusual. Yes, it may be tuned to a specific person and their practice, but we all benefit from reading it.

I hadn't thought in those terms, but I had thought it tends to feel cringeworthy, even if in the moment someone asks me something and I gush enthusiastically some lengthy response, afterwards it's just cringey. But I suspect that the cringey will go away at some point (as it's a kind of self-consciousness on my part?), and then I'll be a weird babbling idiot but not care instead of being a babbling idiot who feels slightly humiliated most of the time.
