"One of the wonderful things about this book is that it makes jhana, normally the purview of monastics and hermits, accessible to ordinary meditators. Leigh Brasington’s approach is something that normal people can do at home, though he strongly suggests getting guidance from a teacher on a jhana-focused retreat. That way you can to make sure your technique is right and your experience is actually jhana."

?????

I find that to be an odd comment coming from Ron Crouch. Is it just me? Isn't jhana access pretty much part and parcel of the path Ron teaches? I mean, you don't HAVE to do the jhanas as a dedicated practice but at certain points in the path they just show up.
