Many accounts of awakening describe the paradox of realizing that you were searching for what was never lost in the first place. But to me, even this realization would be a significant change, and again, a big deal!
Yes! The big deal is finding it in all these ordinary circumstances.
Keep on looking, like Chris recommended, and you will find.
The ordinary stuff is extraordinary. Samsara is Nirvana. These are not two different things; they are not even one thing. Emptiness is nothing other than form. The heavenly kingdom is within. All these nice nonsense verses have meaning.

Thank you Florian! I actually woke up earlier this week and now I completely get the meaning of these verses. It's so simple, yet extraordinarily profound. I was laughing at myself for even starting this thread because as I mentioned in my journal, I get it now. It was very amusing to reread this thread from a whole different perspective and find myself agreeing with nearly all of the points made.
