Well, if not the disposition, a head start on the mustache!

...

Many accounts of awakening describe the paradox of realizing that you were searching for what was never lost in the first place. But to me, even this realization would be a significant change, and again, a big deal!

Yes! The big deal is finding it in all these ordinary circumstances.

Keep on looking, like Chris recommended, and you will find.

The ordinary stuff is extraordinary. Samsara is Nirvana. These are not two different things; they are not even one thing. Emptiness is nothing other than form. The heavenly kingdom is within. All these nice nonsense verses have meaning.

Cheers,
Florian

Thank you Florian! I actually woke up earlier this week and now I completely get the meaning of these verses. It's so simple, yet extraordinarily profound. I was laughing at myself for even starting this thread because as I mentioned in my journal, I get it now. It was very amusing to reread this thread from a whole different perspective and find myself agreeing with nearly all of the points made.

I'm sorry Justin, you can't just say you're awake here. It is incredibly disrespectful to everyone else here who considers themselves awake. It totally undermines their achievements. It can't, shouldn't, mustn't be ok for someone to just go, I'm awake. Some of them have been here for years posting practice journals. You can't just expect us to say, congratulations, that sounds cool. We're going to test you. Probably you are confused.

(Sorry Justin - all the above is total nonsense! just me having a very childish in-joke with someone else here!! Don't worry about it! I have a big happy smile on my face :) , lots of joy for you)

sorry all couldn't resist! :)
