Hi guys,
I just wanted to share a couple of things that have been working reliably for me lately.
The basic pattern that I have seen with my mind state manipulation is that something seems to produce nice results for a while, then I start to pattern it, conceptualize it, and it becomes dead.
The first trick that has been working is instead of focusing on sense experience as some conceptualizable field or mind state, I focus attention on the microscopic scintillating pixelness of it all. For me this is different than noting where there seems to be some sort of linearity to things with just one thing happening primarily at a time. With the reality pixels, I am seeing infinite "things" simultaneously. Within the visual field this is easy. Each color or photon that I am perceiving is each is own unique "thing" that is instantly coming into existence and destroyed, so at any given moment, there are thousands of such things simultaneously apparent in consciousness. I think this also leads me closer to equanimity since I often have an experience of all senses being simultaneously present in equanimity.
The other "trick" is for me to simple constantly remember that utterly nothing about this present experience conforms to any scripting, conceptualization, or patterning. There is absolutely no Groundhog Day effect where everything seems to repeat itself. Nothing repeats itself and is always totally fresh and unscripted in its immediate Presence. Even the thoughts or conceptualizations themselves are part of the utter unscriptability.
Anyway, I hope this is useful to someone.

The fourth stage/practice of Dzogchen sem-de is lhundrüp-- translated sometimes as "spontaneity," "pure appropriateness," or "instant ordinariness."
(my private thesaurus includes "big surprise" and "who knew?")

This is an interesting real life example of what it means to "keep refining your view." I'm happy to hear it's been a helpful way to engage your experience thus far.
Of course, while this is working reliably for you now, it might not at any given moment to come. That's the thing with emptiness...

I don't mean to be a naysayer here but..... the seeing of the process of mind conceptualizing reality is important. There is huge value in watching the pixels being turned into objects. That process is called Dependent Origination
