Dharma Forum Refugee Camp Blog

Hello fellow refugees,

I know I'm getting a little ahead of myself, here. But, I created a companion blog for the Camp.

http://dharmarefugees.wordpress.com/

The blog is not intended to be a place for comments or discussion. Rather, I see it as a way to display what the site is all about, as well as to post articles and reflections that may stimulate discussions here in the forum. There is not a lot of content up; just a quick opening post on the home page and some background information on the 'About' page.

I'm curious to know whether any of you think that having this companion site is even a good idea. I just wanted to grab the domain at WordPress before someone else snatched it up ;-) Anyway, let me know what you think. It is a work in progress, and it will belong to all of us should we choose to keep it going.

great idea.

there are short articles I could write that might fit this audience. And, I'd love to hear more from the others.

Glad you dig the idea. I'll try to figure out some logistics as far as blog posts are concerned. Having some of your writings on the site sounds good to me.

I totally missed the recent name change. Hilarious. Thanks! Now we just need a new header image - perhaps the lotus floating in a cocktail glass?

I think we should have an annual bash event like Burning Man, but somewhere slightly more civilized than the high desert. We could do dharma talks and dharma comedy skits.

Yes. I am too old to be running around naked in the desert with a bunch of hooligans, sorry. At a spa in northern california maybe? or a lakeside cabin somewhere?

The annual Dharma Cocktail Party. Just what we need.

Perfect! And all "dharma talks" to take place sitting casually around, not with a teacher at a podium and everyone else in the full lotus position and googly eyed at the mighty guru.

At a minimum, we need to have a stronger showing at BG 2012!

But yes, lotus in cocktail glass. Mad Men meets the Buddha. Love it!
